Mim'delo is a Creative Workshop Program engaging marginalized youth living in the peripheries of urban areas in Lusophone and Creole communities of the World.
These are communities struggling to find their identity, space and voice under the pressure of poverty, the lack of job opportunities, crime, and drug addiction.
Young people will be empowered by giving them tools and skills to reflect on their culture and experiences, solve their social problems and have a voice in the community. Local and international filmmakers, photographers and performing artists will facilitate participatory workshops with the youth, and mentor their fresh creative collaborations.

Cape Verdean theatre project mim´delo among the marginalized youth struggling with unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse and gang violence, attracted wide media attention, and was documented on video: the mim´delo Documentary.
The government of Cape Verde nominated Mim´delo a Project of Cultural Significance. This success sprouted the Mim´delo Outreach and Workshop Program, after the revelation that the problems of youth are global, but the creative solutions are local. The project takes this concept of community based, participatory creative activism to the Lusophone and Creole communities that are linked by culture, tradition and language ties.
