My dear lovely Aunt Ilda (Laura) Depina passed away on July 6.

She was one of the most graceful, beautiful kind heart woman I have ever met. Her inner peace and serenity was always felt in her presence. She was a pillar of strength, an example of courage in our family. Her noble gentle spirit was always deer to everyone who knew her personally.

Laura Depina was born on August 3, 1921.

Laura was the mother of Jose, Andre, Germano, Adelino, Celeste, Palmira, Gurete, Tereza. Laura was survived by her three brothers Hugo, Armando and Leopordo.

We will all miss her dearly but forever have her in our hearts and minds. I will cherish my personal fond memories of her on vacation in Cape Verde, dancing with her, hearing the stories from her glory days, it will always be a point of reference for me especially the memories when we visited with my father Vital Montrond.

May you all rest in peace eternally.
